Encourages Private Investment
The new Erie Blvd will be an extension of the successful State Street project therefore encouraging more visitors, residents, and shoppers to Erie Blvd which in turn will drive more private investment and a continued beatification of Schenectady. The money for the project can only be used for Erie Blvd, and if we do not take advantage of this opportunity we will lose the Federal Funding to another city other than Schenectady.
